BBC 2 Television, 'Off by Heart' competition.  We were  busy judging regional rounds for this competition in Burton on Trent last week and we'll be in Birmingham ( week commencing 27th Jan).  Thanks to all those who came along and gave some fabulous performances... it was lovely to meet you. What a fabulous night we had at the Warwick Words Festival event at the Kozi Bar in Warwick last night! (20th Jan). Thanks to all the Warwick Laureates who read on the evening: Fergus Durrant, Helen Yendal, Jane Holland and Cathy Whittaker. Also thanks to Mike Wyndham Thomas and to the fabulous range of people who read at the open mic. I had a great night hosting it and enjoyed reading some On the Cusp poems.  What a warm and wonderful event it was! To those of you who have asked if we can have more Warwick Words outreach events like this  in future - Helen and I will be putting this idea to the other directors of the festival at our next meeting. Thanks again to everyone for a fabulous evening. Lovely to see so many of you there - sitting and standing we only just managed to fit everyone in didn't we! What a great audience! Thanks so much to all at the Kozi bar too for their support of this event.

Creative week at Cawood Castle Jan 12th -16th.  Great to catch up with friends and to entertain them in medieval style while chatting through ideas for projects.  I really enjoyed seeing Michael Lyons' new 'Star' sculptures and on the way back home we called in to see Carlos Garaicoa's 'The Observatory' exhibition at Bridge Arts.
